Recipes to try

I keep coming across some really good recipes and save them for later. Which means they almost always get lost in the wild bookmark jungle. I'm going to note down some really interesting recipes down in this post and strike them as and when I try them.

  1. Wholewheat sandwich bread (without gluten flour) - This recipe is adapted from Peter Reinhart's award winning books on wholegrain breads. It uses a biga and a soaker and soaks the biga for 8 hrs to 3 days. The soaker is soaked for 24 hrs. (All that soaking must neutralize the phytic acid). Then 7 tbsp of WW flour is added. Hmmm (sprouted wheat flour?) I think the first time, I'll try the recipe as it is.
  2. Low carb no grain - gluten free biscuits - While I'm not gluten free, these biscuits are also grain free. Lucky me! I can eat them heartily for dinner and when my sudden snack attacks creep by. Sounds yummy with some homemade tomato soup. :)
  3. Creamy split pea soup - Easy, filling dinner! Esp. if I add those fluffy biscuits on the side. - DONE!
  4. Sesame seed crackers - looks so good! :) The blogger says to leave it overnight to develop flavors. Awesome! from NT point of view, the phytic acid will be neutralized too. Maybe I'll add a tbsp of whey too.
  5. Hot and Sour coconut soup Looks yummy! I have all ingredients at hand, except for the cilantro and zucchini.
  6. Pesto Pea pikelets
  7. Sweet potato soup with kale
  8. Seeded crackers
  9. And my friend's recipe for Hot cross buns! Thanks H for the recipe! :) DONE!!!
  10. Mom'1 100% wholewheat airbuns with glowing reviews!
